HOLLYOAKS star Elliot James Langridge has welcomed his first baby with his girlfriend, with his co-stars rushing to congratulate him.
The actor, 38, who played Dave Colburn on the long-running soap, posted an adorable clip of him and his partner Kate Owen in hospital on his story.



Elliot, who also starred in drama , captioned the post “5th + 17th = 22nd [baby emoji], which he tagged at St Peter’s Hospital in .
He also added a series of adorable black and white images including girlfriend Katie in a hospital bed with the first snaps of their newborn.
The actor went on to add an image walking out of the hospital with their baby, whose name has not yet been revealed, in a carrier.
The comments section was flooded with well wishes from close family and friends following the sweet post.
Former star and X-Men actor Scott Adkins commented: “Congratulations both [clapping emoji]”.
Slow Horses star Sam Hazeldine wrote: “Congratulations!!! [heart emoji]”.
Elliot, who has also appeared on the big screen in movies including Northern Soul and Killers since starring in Hollyoaks, now runs his own podcast Life In .

Soap fans will remember Elliot from his time on Channel 4’s long-running Hollyoaks.
The star played Dave Colburn between 2009 and 2010 – who was involved in major storylines on the show.
Fans will remember he had an intimate encounter with Anita Roy – played by Saira Choudhry – on the show, after she took MDMA, with her family accusing him of spiking her.
Describing his character at the Inside Soap Awards, he said at the time: “He’s a ladies’ man… and he’s a bit of a mess but everyone loves him.
“He’s this charismatic party animal… He’s one those characters that you kind of get the feeling he’s got too much good luck.
“Some day down the road, he’s going to get kicked in the arse for something. But you never really know… he’s unpredictable.
“He’s got a lot of things he needs to do, so hopefully there’s going to be a lot of fun with this guy….”
His character was eventually axed in August 2010 – marking the end of his soap acting.
Elliot’s later roles would largely be film based, though his last big small screen appearance was a role in ITV drama series Vera back in 2015.
