In the emotional home video, Billy said: “So I’m being dropped by my dream acting agency, which I’ve always wanted to be with.
“Since I was 16, and I’ve been with them for a year, today all of a sudden they’ve been like ‘we feel it’s a hard decision but we need to look at the market and we feel a sense of redirection is where we’d like for you to go. It’s nothing against you or your talent.'”
He continued: “It’s gutting that someone who’s meant to be in your corner, like an agent, is just giving up. And it makes me think am I even good enough?
“I know I’m good enough and I haven’t gone through all these years of training for nothing. This year I wanted to level up so much.”
Billy said he had plans to get new headshots and to do one-to-one acting lessons to hone his craft.
He said: “I’m not giving up. I’m about to Doechii my life and make them regret this.”
American rapper Doechii famously targeted systemic pressures in the music industry in her Grammy-winning album Alligator Bites Never Heal.
Just days ago, Billy was celebrating a high profile collaboration as he travelled to London to film for restaurant chain Nandos.
His fans are encouraging him to remain positive.
One wrote: “100% agree with you. Don’t give up. You have come so far. This is the most important moment. After this it can only go up.”
Another said: “Take a break. Breathe. Their loss.”
A third posted: “When one door closes, another one opens, what’s meant for you won’t pass you, it just wasn’t meant to be x.”
Billy appeared in Hollyoaks in 2022 as an inmate at a young offenders institute.
Over four episodes he threatened DeMarcus Westwood and blackmailed him into smuggling drugs into the facility.
Meanwhile, he played Young Ronnie in an episode of Sky comedy Brassic in 2023.
Show regular Ronnie Croft (Carl Price) is Michelle Keegan’s character Erin’s criminal brother.
