Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, has reacted to the emergence of Nentawe Yilwatda as his successor.
Ganduje said Yilwatda became APC’s National Chairman at a critical time.
He expressed confidence in Yilwatda’s ability to lead the ruling party forward.
Yilwatda emerged APC National Chairman during the party’s National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting held at the Presidential Villa on Thursday.
Reacting, Ganduje said Yilwatda’s emergence as APC National Chairman was strategic.
In a statement he signed, the former Kano State governor noted that the new APC National Chairman has the “capacity, intellect, maturity, and administrative competence”.
“I have no doubt that Prof Yilwatda will move our party forward. His emergence at this critical time is a strategic development for the APC,” he said.
Ganduje commended President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for their maturity in leading the APC.
“Our president and vice-president have once again shown leadership in guiding the affairs of our great party,” Ganduje said.
