The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, APC, Kano North, has described the passing of Senator Okey Ezea (Enugu North) as profoundly shocking.

He noted that the deceased, who served as the Vice Chairman of both the Senate Committee on Cooperation and Integration in Africa and NEPAD, as well as the Senate Committee on Culture and Creative Economy, made significant contributions to fostering unity and progress in the nation.
