Former Real Madrid goalkeeper, Keylor Navas, did not mention Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi but instead picked former Barcelona star, Neymar as the player who made the biggest impression on him.
He said the Brazilian always wanted the ball and had a big effect on the game.
Navas talked to AS about playing with Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe at PSG, and also compared Real Madrid attackers like Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, and Angel Di Maria.
He chose the Brazilian player as the one who impressed him the most, explaining that the player made the game look simple and had full control of the ball throughout. He said:
“We are talking about amazing players and the best from the last few decades, but because of his talent on the field, Neymar really impacted on me a lot,” he said
“He made the ball do what he wanted, whether he used his left foot or his right. When I saw him in the games, it felt just like playing with my kids. Ney is an amazing player.
Just like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, Keylor Navas has also left European football.
He started playing for Newell’s Old Boys in 2025 and then moved to Pumas UNAM, where he is now playing.
