IT’S been a long four years for Harry Styles fans, but last night the singer finally announced he was releasing a new album.
At almost exactly the same time, his former bandmate revealed his latest single and artwork. It got me thinking… was this a mere coincidence or is there something more to this extraordinary timing? As Larry fans go into overdrive, insiders tell us what’s really going on between the former bandmates – and what it means for Harry’s girlfriend

For those of you who don’t know, the Larry theory or Larry Stylinson theory is a long-running wild fan conspiracy that started almost as soon as were formed on back in 2010. Fans became convinced that and were secretly in a romantic relationship and they spotted so-called hints it was true everywhere.
So when Harry, 31, revealed his fourth record Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally was out on March 6 and then moments later Louis, 34, shared his news, ‘the Larries’ – as they affectionately call themselves – went into overdrive.
Harry and Louis are very aware that people are still obsessed with the idea of Larry.
Industry experts tell us it’s highly unlikely that Louis’ team weren’t aware Harry was making his comeback announcement then, which raised the question of why he went full steam ahead on the same day.
One insider told us: “Harry and Louis are very aware that people are still obsessed with the idea of Larry. It isn’t and never was a thing but at this stage they really don’t care anymore if people want to run with that narrative.
“They are both very secure men, both in loving relationships and they tuned out the speculation about their relationship a long time ago.”
And it’s probably a good job they have because Larry fans have already declared 2026 the ‘Larriest year yet’ on social media.
In 2022, during an interview with Rolling Stone, Harry shared his thoughts on gossip surrounding his private life, saying: “I’ve never talked about my life away from work publicly and found that it’s benefited me positively.
“There’s always going to be a version of a narrative, and I think I just decided I wasn’t going to spend the time trying to correct it or redirect it in some way.”
Louis hasn’t always been quite so laid back about it all, and in the past branded it all ‘very disrespectful’.
He admitted: “It created this atmosphere between the two of us where everyone was looking into everything we did. It took away the vibe you get off anyone.
“It made everything, I think on both fences, a little bit more unapproachable. I think it shows that it was never anything real if I can use that word.”
Over the years obsessive fans have spent hours piecing together what they believe are clues to a secret romance – like Louis wearing a jumper with an H on it, Harry supposedly wearing an outfit just like one described in fan about him and Louis – and the list goes on.
The insider continued: “In a way, sharing their news on the same day, shows just how close the boys still are and that rather than seeing each other as competition, they are sharing the stage once again.
“Perhaps this is actually just a way of showing us all how unified One Direction actually is these days.”
‘MAKING SOME NOISE’
Indeed another of their bandmates, also opted to go live with new music last night – meaning fans had not just one but three bits of pretty big news from the band in just a matter of hours.
They added: “The lads have been in the industry for a long time and they are well versed in making some noise when it’s needed and it really has done just that.”
Louis and Zayn have recently spent time together filming a new three part special – driving around America and talking about their lives. Could this all just be another step towards a potential One Direction reunion?

The boys were last all seen together alongside their former manager in November 2024 at the funeral of their bandmate . Liam tragically died at the age of 31 in October 2024 after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina.
Louis, who is dating former star Zara McDermott, first started promoting his album How Did I Get Here?, on September 16, 2025, with cryptic posters appearing in various cities worldwide.
And in a very similar vein, rumours of Harry’s new album began when posters depicting a crowd at one of his concerts were put up around cities including and bearing the phrase We Belong Together.
The album, which is executive produced by Kid Harpoon, is now available to pre-order from the singer’s website.
HARRY’S SLOW RETURN
Harry has kept a relatively low profile since his Love On Tour run of gigs came to an end in 2023, apart from of course running marathons under a fake name
He ran the Berlin Marathon under the alias Sted Sarandos in under three hours last year and in March 2025 he finished the Tokyo Marathon in three hours, 24 minutes and seven seconds.
Then there were his regular visits to Berlin’s most infamous nightclub Berghain, while recording his album in the city.
Zoe has grown up in the limelight, she knows how these things work.
He even went to last year’s Festival and was seen spending time with Louis, who is a regular at the festival.
And let’s not forget his relationship with Zoe – the daughter of singing legend Lenny Kravitz. Harry and the Catwoman star, 36, have barely been apart since the Sun revealed in August of last year.

They have been snapped strolling arm in arm around the streets of , New York and .
They are believed to have spent in London together – enjoying some time alone before the onslaught of press for Harry’s new album.
WEDDING BELLS
We previously told how wedding bells could be on the cards, with an insider revealing: “Harry and Zoe are the real deal. They have shown it can work with their busy schedules – and it’s about to get a whole lot busier.
“Zoe is a big part of his musical journey and will be supporting him throughout.
“Friends are saying that if they make it through his next album, then wedding bells will be on the horizon.”
Zoe is, of course, the daughter of music royalty – Lenny – and pals say her input has been invaluable to Harry, who is already considered to be one of the music greats himself.
In August, the couple took things up a notch when Harry met music star Lenny, 61, and Zoe’s ‘aunties’ and things are said to have gone very well.
So, what does Zoe make of all the Larry speculation? Our insider explained: “Zoe has grown up in the limelight, she knows how these things work.
“She is a very strong woman with her own life and career – the last thing she is worrying about is if some fans think Harry is secretly dating Louis.
“It’s certainly not going to affect their relationship. She doesn’t know Louis but anyone who is close to Harry is close to her too. She wishes Louis lots of success with the album and of course wants Harry’s to be a huge hit.”
Harry launched his solo career after he and fellow One Direction members , and Louis Tomlinson went on hiatus in 2016, almost a year after left the group.
Harry released his self-titled debut solo album a year after the band’s hiatus in 2017, and followed it up with Fine Line (2019) and Harry’s House (2022), with his debut and third record reaching number one on the UK Albums Chart, while Fine Line reached number two.
As a solo artist, Harry has had two UK number one singles in As It Was and Sign Of The Times, giving him the most commercially successful solo career of the members of One Direction.
Louis recently acknowledged Harry’s huge success saying in an interview with Billboard: “I always knew Harry was going to go on to do what he’s done — I’m sure he’s superseded his own expectations in the way that he’s taken over the world, but we knew he’s got everything it takes to be a great artist.”
And as fans rush to pre order his new album Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally from his website, it certainly seems like this is going to be another huge hit… and maybe with just a little sprinkling of Larry love.
