FANS of bonking-and-banking drama Industry can rejoice at the fact one of the show’s favourite cast members is returning.

And it’s no coincidence they’re coming back for the BBC One programme’s fifth and final series.

I can reveal that is reprising his former role as the lovable Robert Spearing, who was last seen in series three, but had completely disappeared in the recent fourth outing.

The last we saw of him the unlucky-in-love entrepreneur was over in the US selling cannabis-based products.

Now he’s been spotted back on the set of the show in Bristol, this time sporting long curly locks – a stark contrast from his groomed look when he was still suited and booted and working at Pierpoint & Co investment bank.

Devotees will recall he had a very loving moment with central siren Yasmin, played by , only to have her then marry character, Henry Muck.

Not surprisingly, the heartbroken lad made a sharp exit after that, and left his true love to her newly married life while he went off to make his fortune.

Though as anyone who witnessed series four will know, they didn’t exactly live happily ever after, so Robert’s return is well-timed.

Though, interestingly it wasn’t Yasmin he was seen on set with recently, it was the show’s other leading lady Harper Stern, played by Myha’la who is fresh from making on .

The fifth and final series is expected to air on the Beeb next year with Kit and Marisa all reprising their respective roles.

They’ll be joined this time round by Jessica Brown Findlay, Cary Elwes and Sam Riley.

Now they just need to get David Jonsson back…though they’ll need to perform a miracle given that he’s now preparing to star in the new Black Panther Marvel movie.

In the meantime having Harry back will MORE than suffice.

NIGELLA SO ALLY PALLY

GREAT British Bake Off new best buddies and bonded quickly – not surprisingly, over their joint love of food.

Alison, who hosts the Channel 4 show, and incoming judge Nigella wanted to get to know each other before filming the new series.

So they came together for a cheese-and-wine evening and each brought along something delicious.

Nigella said: “Alison made the most wonderful brownies and I made a rice pudding.”

Alison replied: “She does the most amazing salted granola too.”

Nigella added: “We talked non-stop.”

Hope it wasn’t with your mouths full, ladies.

l QUIRKY drama Small Prophets, written by and starring Mackenzie Crook, will return for a second series.

The show, which also featured Pearce Quigley and Sir Michael Palin, pulled in 7.7million viewers for its first episode.

No small wonder that it’s coming back, then.

IT’S not very often a comedy lasts 20 years on our screens, but is celebrating that milestone birthday.

The mark the occasion, the BBC is putting out a special documentary telling the inside story of the show.

Comic Lee will share never-before-heard details and funny anecdotes about the much-loved series.

He’ll be joined by fan favourites Sally Bretton, Tim Vine and Hugh Dennis as they reflect on the show’s phenomenal success.

Chris McCausland pops up for a guest appearance, too.

The one-off special, 20 Years Of Not Going Out, will air on BBC One on September 23, the same night the new series goes out.

The thriller then takes him from a sleepy English village to the very unfamiliar surroundings of Italy.

House and garden shockers censored by Auntie have included an adult-entertainment room, as well as a tree carved to look like a todger.

Presenter Jules shares: “We did have one episode where there was this dedicated pole-dancing room, but it never made the cut.

“And then there was a house with a tree in the garden sculpted into a giant willy. The memos that were flying around after that . . . 

“Of course, it’s the BBC, they won’t let us put this stuff on the telly. But the last word must go to the tree’s owner, who said, ‘It’s wonderful with a dusting of snow on it’.”

In Somerset to sign copies of his book, Wild At Heart: My Journey To A Country Life, Jules also told fans: “This goes to demonstrate that you never know what you are going to find.

“There were a few things we found but . . . you’ll never see it on TV.”
