The forward converted from the spot to open his account in the US – after retaking his first missed effort.
And then he equalled Lineker’s landmark by powering home a header to give England a 2-1 lead – and he now has 81 strikes for the Three Lions.
Unfortunately for Kane’s side, they went into the break level after Petar Musa equalised on the stroke of half time.
