HARRY COBDEN has been confirmed as the new retained rider for billionaire owner JP McManus.
Paul Nicholls’ former No1 will replace Mark Walsh – less than a year after he won the Gold Cup on Inothewayurthinkin.

Cobden will see out his remaining duties for the rest of this season.
But he will don the iconic green and gold silks from May.
It means Cobden will miss some huge McManus rides at Cheltenham, including Inothewayurthinkin’s Gold Cup defence.
But from May he can look forward to getting aboard the likes of Ryanair king Fact To File and, presumably, Jonbon.
