Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, on Wednesday condemned Israeli attack on Doha, Qatar.

Sani said the attack was a clear violation of international law and an act of aggression.

Posting on X, Sani wrote: “The attack on Doha by the Israeli forces is condemnable. It’s a clear violation of international law and an act of heinous aggression against a sovereign state.

“The role of the State of Qatar in global dialogue, mediation and the search for peace is unequalled.”

On Tuesday, Israel launched airstrikes in Doha, targeting some Hamas leaders.

Loud explosions rocked Doha on Tuesday evening, with verified footage showing thick smoke rising from a heavily damaged complex near the Woqod petrol station on Wadi Rawdan Street, close to the upscale West Bay Lagoon district.

Confirming the airstrikes, the Israel Defense Forces, IDF, described it as a “precise operation” against Hamas political bureau.

The IDF said 15 fighter jets carried out the assault, releasing 10 precision-guided munitions on a single compound allegedly housing Hamas leaders.

Israeli media reports suggested the strike targeted Khalil al-Hayya, Hamas’s chief negotiator, and Zaher Jabarin, a senior West Bank operative.
