A group known as Turn Around Nigeria (TAN) has praised President Donald Trump of the United States for authorizing airstrikes targeting suspected terrorists operating in northern Nigeria.
The organization, which expressed its views on Friday through its Secretary General, Chuks Ibegbu, also applauded the Nigerian government for its cooperation with US authorities in carrying out these airstrikes.
Stressing its commitment to fostering a better Nigeria, the group stated that the joint military operations against terrorists would significantly hinder their activities and free innocent citizens from their grasp.
Ibegbu, in a statement shared with journalists in Umuahia, expressed concern over how terrorists and other criminal groups have been displacing villagers and taking over their homes without consequence.
Nonetheless, he conveyed optimism that the ongoing killings and kidnappings perpetrated by bandits could be halted if the airstrikes continue.
βAll Nigerians should support the actions taken by the United States. Those who sponsor terrorism in the North should leave the country immediately, in their own best interest,β Ibegbu cautioned.
