GREG James has recalled a cringeworthy encounter with a major A-list celebrity, urging them to “just be honest”.
The , 39, detailed the awkward run-in with Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock on JaackMaate’s Happy Hour.

“I remember refused to shake my hand,” he told the podcast hosts.
“So she said, it was a junket interview, and they’re really stressful, aren’t they?”
Greg continued, “They’re horrible. Yeah, four minutes. Go and speak to Meryl Streep.
“Bullock, I went to shake her hand, and she said, ‘I’m not shaking hands today, my kid’s, not very well’, what?”
The DJ is known for some of his funny stories, but he didn’t seem to crack a smile once as he explained the scenario.
“She thought that germs were going to be from her kid’s mouth, into her hand, into my hand, and then I’d be ill with Sandra Bullock’s kid’s flu,” he added.
Greg looked visibly annoyed as he went over the story again, telling host Jack he wished she’s have just “been honest”.
The podcast star replied, “The way I’m seeing that, she could either be being really nice and she’s trying to protect you from the kid’s illness.
“Or she could be really bitter.
“And be like, ‘someone’s made my kid ill, so I’m not shaking strangers’ hands again’.”
Fans flocked to the comments after the short clip of Gregg’s ordeal was shared on .
But not everyone was on the radio star’s side, with one saying, “Completely valid. She doesn’t wanna make you sick.”
Another added, “There are some stories you don’t have to share.”
A third commented, “I think Greg’s being weirdly sensitive about it.
“She meets a tonne of people that day. Her kids are sick.
“She’s either concerned she will spread it amongst every person she shakes hands with or concerned the 40 plus people that will interview her will give her something to spread.
“It’s hardly a case of she looks at you and doesn’t like you like Greg seems to suggest.”
