The Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) has condemned the terrorist attack on a mosque in Ungwan Mantau, Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State, where several worshippers were killed.

In a statement on Sunday, JNI Secretary-General, Prof. Khalid Aliyu, described the incident as senseless and barbaric, expressing shock that worshippers were targeted during early morning prayers.

He urged the government to take decisive steps to address insecurity, noting that previous appeals for stronger action had yielded little result.

Aliyu also called for better collaboration among security agencies, religious bodies, and community leaders to find lasting solutions to the crisis, while encouraging citizens to support security operatives with credible intelligence.

JNI further prayed for the repose of the victims’ souls and comfort for their families.
