Gov Umo Eno Names New Head of Service and Dismisses Two Aides

The Governor of Akwa Ibom, Umo Eno, has appointed Mrs. Elsie Peters as the new Head of Service for the state, taking over from Mr. Effiong Essien, who has retired from his position.

This appointment was disclosed in a statement issued in Uyo by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Enobong Uwah, and shared with the media on Monday.

In another development, the governor has also terminated the employment of two of his aides with immediate effect.

The officials affected are Mr. Joseph Ikpak, who served as Senior Special Assistant on Support Services, and Mr. Felix Ekuri, who was the Special Assistant on Neighbourhood Watch.
