The Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has flagged off the distribution of transformers and street lights across the state.
On his verified Facebook page, he wrote: “I had the singular honour of flagging off Phase One of the distribution of 600 transformers and 10,000 solar-powered street lights across the 23 local government areas of Kaduna State.
“This initiative represents far more than the deployment of equipment; it signals a decisive stride in our comprehensive energy reform programme and a reaffirmation of our unwavering commitment to inclusive, development-driven governance.
“This intervention is neither ad hoc nor symbolic. It is part of a carefully structured, statewide strategy to rehabilitate weakened distribution networks, replace vandalised installations, and restore reliable functionality to communities that have endured years of neglect.
“Energy is not a luxury; it is the lifeblood of modern society. Where streets are illuminated, insecurity diminishes, enterprise expands, and civic life acquires renewed vitality. Traders extend their hours with confidence, families move freely without apprehension, and neighbourhoods rediscover the rhythms of safe and productive coexistence.
“I was heartened by the thoughtful contributions of stakeholders who recognised the clarity of purpose guiding this effort. Their affirmation strengthens our resolve to ensure that critical infrastructure reaches every senatorial zone and every community in Kaduna State.
“I commend our development partners, agencies, and collaborators for advancing a resilient and sustainable energy future for Kaduna State.”
