Embattled Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, onTuesday, demanded access to the National Assembly Complex, insisting she must resume plenary.

Natasha’s voiced her demands despite attempts to prevent her from gaining access into the National Assembly complex.

Accompanied by some activists like Aisha Yesufu, Mama P, and others, Natasha took a long walk down to the complex as her convoy was denied entry.

While walking she told reporters: “I’m glad to be alive and glad to resumetoday, that’s all I will say for now until we get there.”

The security at the National Assembly complex was beefed up ahead of Natasha’s resumption.

OnSaturday, the suspended lawmaker had vowed to resumesitting on Tuesday, July 22.

Natasha anchored her declaration on the recent judgment by Justice Binta Nyako of the federal High Court judgment in Abuja.

However, the Chairman of the Senate committee on Media and Public Affairs, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, dismissed the ruling claimed by the lawmaker.

Adaramodu clarified that the court merely offered an “advisory opinion” and not a compulsory directive to the upper legislative chamber.
