Among the topics the comedienne covered was when the got given clean clothes – which GK said was only under a very specific circumstance.

“When it comes to , you get two sets of everything,” she said.

“So two sets of shorts, T-shirts, one fleece, trousers, and you do not get fresh clothing unless you’ve been in a trial that involves fish guts.”

If that happens, they “have to then give you a change of clothes”.

But anything else – such as cockroaches or a challenge involving slime – “you just have to wash that in the creek”.

Speaking of washing in the creek, GK said that many of the female campmates took in bikini bottoms instead of knickers, because they’re quicker to wash and dry.

“Another thing is you have to bring in obviously your own underwear, but a lot of the women would bring in just bikinis,” she said.

“So like bikini bottoms, because they’re so much easier and quicker to dry in the creek.”

In terms of health help the contestants receive, there is a medical hut where they can go if they ever need any advice or aid.

“There is a psych, ours was a lady, that will be travelled into camp if you’re struggling,” she explained.

“She was lovely, she spoke me through everything. So the people that you’re seeing having down days will either speak in the Bush Telegraph or they’ll get the psych.”

The same hut was also used for pros to distribute prescribed medication to the contestants if they had anything they had to take.

“I had like medical skincare that I needed,” she said.

“Some people had to take medications.

“So at the end of the day, you will be called in one by one to go to the medical hut, whatever.

“And if you need any medical attention, there was this lovely paramedic man. I can’t remember his name.

One thing that can be difficult for contestants is knowing what time it is.

“We’d hear it, and then we’d know, cool, it’s probably like an hour and 15 minutes until they come,” she said.
