A NINE-year-old girl has died after a two-car collision which also sent a woman and two other children to hospital

Despite the best efforts of emergency services, a nine-year-old passenger tragically passed away.
Police were called to Icknield Street at the junction of Park Road South last night about a road crash.
A rear of a silver Hyundai was badly damaged with a BMW’s front damaged next to it.
West Midlands Police said in a statement: “A child has sadly died following a collision in Hockley, Birmingham.
“We were called to Icknield Street at around 11pm last night (Thursday) following a two-car collision.
“A nine-year-old girl – a passenger in one of the cars – was taken to hospital with serious injuries but sadly died a short while later. Our thoughts are with her loved ones at this devastating time.
“A woman and two other children from the same car were also taken to hospital to be assessed for injuries.
“Two men from the second car, a BMW, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drugs.
