STEVEN GERRARD says he does not want a Prem title medal – even if Manchester City get stripped of their silverware.
The former skipper famously handed the Etihad giants one of their top flight crowns when he .

But he did win plenty of other prizes – including the in 2005 – and is happy that he got those fair and square.
admits he would not be able to look the Anfield hierarchy in the eye if they were found to have broken financial rules like have.
The current leaders are expected to be hit with a huge punishment in the coming months.
Gerrard said: “This is not me wanting a Premier League medal, because it wouldn’t be the same.
“It wouldn’t feel the same. I wouldn’t all of a sudden start wanting an open-top bus, or I wouldn’t want to knock at my house and go, ‘Here you go.’ No, no, congratulations.
“I wouldn’t want individual players to give stuff back. I don’t think that would be right. I wouldn’t accept anything.
“I’ve come to terms with where I am and what I achieved.
“But in terms of the club, they have to be stripped. There needs to be an example set historically, in my opinion, whether that’s an asterisk throughout all the years and their achievements.

“There needs to be, minimum, an asterisk. Because then it doesn’t matter whether the titles are stripped or not.
“As soon as that asterisk is there, everyone knows that happened because of what we all know happened.”
Gerrard believes City should be hit with a “multi-year punishment” and does not believe relegation to the is severe enough.
The former Kop skipper revealed he had spoken to the top bosses at Anfield as they were on Sunday.
And he believes it would have soured his relationship with Liverpool had they found themselves in the same situation.
He told The Overlap: “I couldn’t help but say it – it just came out. If this was us, I don’t think I could speak to you face to face.
“If this was Liverpool – the Champions League we won, the best night of my life – or the we won in 2006 and the club tainted or tarnished the memories I couldn’t speak to those owners ever again.”
He enjoyed some fierce battles with City over the years – not least the battle they had for the Prem title 12 years ago.
But he said: “The Manchester City ex-players, current players, and the owners, and everyone connected with City, have got to think about the memories that they potentially have stolen away from everyone else.
“That’s the thing that I feel at the moment. In terms of what I want to say, and how deep I want to go.
“They’ve got to think about the memories and the moments and the possibilities that individuals, teams and clubs could have suffered from or lost out on.”
