GERMANY cruised to a 7-1 victory over World Cup minnows Curacao – but not before the Caribbean island made a bit of history for themselves.
It took just five minutes for Borussia Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha to hand his side the lead, the quickest goal yet at the tournament.

But Curacao, the smallest nation by population to ever take part at a World Cup, were full of energy as they hunted down a moment the island would never forget.
They found it in the 21st minute, when Livano Comenencia’s effort deflected off Joshua Kimmich and past the outstretched hands of Manuel Neuer.
The Blue Wave was in full force as fans and the players themselves went ballistic in their celebrations, as the stars piled up in an embrace near the side of the pitch.
It was a magic moment, but the side were brought crashing back to reality minutes later as Nico Schlotterbeck headed home from a set piece, before literally flexing his muscles for the crowd.
The bubble had burst, and it was all downhill from there.
Kai Havertz calmly dispatched a penalty past keeper Eloy Room on the cusp of half-time to make it 3-1 going into the break.
But any hopes of a resurgence following a stern team talk were scuppered when Jamal Musiala tucked a fourth away seconds after the restart.
