GARY ANDERSON slammed the new wave of darts influencers as a “load of b******s” and “t*****s” in a furious rant at the Winmau World Masters.

The World No6 came from behind to beat Niels Zonneveld 3-2 in his opening clash in Milton Keynes on Thursday night.

But then , 55, unleashed verbals on the growing band of YouTubers getting involved in the sport.

Anderson said: “I’m a darts player, I’m not here to sit and talk and tell stories. And when I do, I usually get into trouble.

“I don’t do YouTube, but I’m watching. We’ve got, what do you call them? Influencers? How to play darts.

“I’ve never seen the bloke in my life, I’ve watched him play darts, he’s absolutely rank at it. So why watch him?

“Kids need to learn they can go buy a set of darts that cost you £10, £20, £40, £50. Instead of spending hundreds of pounds on darts and play the game. Influencers? What a load of b*****cks. Absolutely t*****s.

“It’s a load of rubbish. For young kids, it ain’t good. Just let them play darts and enjoy. Buy a £20 set of darts and go and enjoy your game of darts. End of. Easy.”

Anderson’s outburst came out of the blue after his gritty comeback over dangerous Dutchman Zonneveld.

The Scot made a sluggish start to the contest with a hatful of missed doubles and Zonneveld won the opening set 2-0.

Ando stormed back to go in front after winning four of the next five legs.

However Zonneveld delivered a wonderful 121 finish to set up a deciding set. But Anderson won it comfortably with two clinical finishes of tops and double 16.

Meanwhile, Chris Dobey eased past Jermaine Wattimena 3-0 while James Wade beat Madars Razma in a decider 3-2.
