FRENCH police are investigating the death of a migrant on a small boat on Friday.
The dinghy was allowed to continue to the UK after many of its passengers were rescued — including a man with stab wounds and two women with burns.

In the latest incident, the dinghy was carrying at least 110 people when it launched from , near , after being monitored by the coastguard overnight.
Authorities picked up 73 passengers including the Afghan man, who was airlifted to hospital where he died.
He is believed to have suffered a fatal heart attack.
The other 72 were taken back to , but 45 migrants remained on the boat and continued their journey to .
A France Maritime Prefecture spokesman said: “Early on the morning of August 28, the Ridens [rescue vessel] picked up 72 migrants requesting assistance.
“During the rescue, the vessel discovered one person in the boat suffering from cardiac arrest and three others who were wounded.”
“The boat continued its journey, and its remaining 45 occupants were picked up by a British rescue boat.”
