The Nigerian government is transferring Nnamdi Kanu’s Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, and Prince Emmanuel Kanu to the Kuje Magistrate Court.
This information was shared by Kanu’s younger brother, Kanunta Kanu, on Tuesday.
The Nigeria Police Force had apprehended Ejimakor and Emmanuel, Kanu’s brother, during a protest in Abuja on Monday.
They had participated alongside activist and politician Omoyele Sowore in the “Free Nnamdi Kanu” protest in Abuja.
Sowore organized the protest to advocate for Kanu’s release and to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the EndSARS movement.
After their arrest, they were transferred to SARS from the Force CID.
However, Kanunta posted on X:
“The Nigerian government is now bringing Barr. Aloy Ejimakor and Prince Emmanuel Kanu to Kuje Magistrate Court following their unlawful arrest.
“This serves as a clear intimidation tactic against Kanu, his family, and legal team ahead of Thursday’s trial. #JusticeForKanu #RuleOfLawUnderAttack.”
