Frank Lebouef kicks against Arsenal signing Sesko

Published on June 04, 2025 at 08:30 PM

Former Chelsea star Frank Leboeuf has kicked against Arsenal signing RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Å eÅ¡ko.

Arsenal are already in talks to sign Šeško this summer transfer window.

Discussions between both parties are still at an initial stage.

However, Leboeuf believes the Gunners will be making a mistake if they bring the 22-year-old forward to the Emirates, comparing the Slovenian with Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho.

Sancho had joined Chelsea on loan from Man United last season. But the Blues sent the England star back to Man United after his loan deal expired this summer, as they opted against signing him on a permanent deal.

“That is crazy [RB Leipzig’s valuation for Å eÅ¡ko]. You have so many examples of clubs who have spent big money on players from smaller clubs,”; Leboeuf told ESPN.

“Å eÅ¡ko plays for Leipzig. They are a family club, and Arsenal are going to launch him into the Premier League.

“What is the guarantee that Å eÅ¡ko is going to produce? And you are going to spend 80m euros on him? Look at Jadon Sancho, Darwin Núñez and so many others.”;
