Former idol Kang You Seok will put on a showstopping comeback performance on the next episode of “Resident Playbook”;!
A spin-off of the hit series “Hospital Playlist,”; tvN’s “Resident Playbook”; is a new drama depicting the realistic and relatable hospital lives, growth, and heartwarming friendships of residents at the Jongro branch of Yulje Medical Center.
Um Jae Il (Kang You Seok), one of the first-year residents in the obstetrics and gynecology department, has a unique background: he was once a member of the now-disbanded boy group Hi Boys, which only has one hit song to their name. However, his fellow residents seemed to never have heard of Hi Boys before.
In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming episode, Um Jae Il finally gets the chance to show off his idol talents at karaoke. The look in Um Jae Il’s eyes changes drastically the moment that he takes the stage with a mic in hand—and the bumbling image he had at the hospital is suddenly nowhere to be found.
Meanwhile, Oh Yi Young (Go Youn Jung), Pyo Nam Kyung (Shin Si Ah), and Kim Sa Bi (Han Ye Ji) are visibly surprised by the unexpected transformation of Um Jae Il, who is clearly in his element. Pyo Nam Kyung even whips out her phone to film his performance, which appears to be turning everyone into fans.
