TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR must wait to progress in the Champions League after a controversial draw with Sporting.
Antonio Conte’s side came back from behind after a Marcus Edwards goal on his Spurs return and thought they had won the game in the dying moments, with Harry Kane scoring.
However, in the most controversial circumstances, VAR ruled out the goal which everybody in the stadium believed should have stood.
Conte was dismissed for his protests and Spurs star Kane has now revealed that he is ‘speechless’ at the decision.
Elsewhere, former Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick has stated that the board at Old Trafford blocked his attempts to sign Erling Haaland among other names during his time in charge.
The Austria boss has stated that he looked to bring in Josko Gvardiol and Luis Diaz during his time in the Premier League but was not backed to do so.
