THERE was no money back, no guarantee they would make it, flying a three-wheeler like Del Boy’s van from Only Fools and Horses over the Channel.
But Bobby Frankham, 59, successfully landed the machine based on the Reliant Regal from starring and at Dover.

It was one of 47 paramotors that raised £5,000 for the Veterans Charity.
Organiser David Messenger, from , said: “My mate and I built the Reliant Robin – our wives think we’re mentally insane but we both like the Reliant Robin and over the years we’ve built different cars – we’ve got two flying ones.
“It’s just a funny thing – it’s a stupid car and we just started building them!
“My mate was flying that one.
“It’s even more hilarious that so many big companies have put millions into a flying car, and we’ve done it!
“It’s incredible to see all the paramotors up there.
“There’s the one jet paramotor that took the Union flag who only had 12 minutes of fuel so he was already on the side.
“I can not stress how brilliant our coast guard was the night before.
“I was speaking to drone pilots, and we had our own rescue boat in case we needed it – they all kept an eye on us, and their services were brilliant.
“Everyone’s still on an amazing high – to launch that many pilots in one go, is just unheard of.”
David added: “ support these people who are dealing with the aftermaths of war.
“We’re not trying to make a public statement, but it’s just a case of saying that these people are heroes to this country.
“We’re at about £5,000 at the moment, but I’ve still got to collect payments from the company sponsors that we got too.”
