A kinsman of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State, Hamza Madagali, has been elected the state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Hamza Madagali, a former chairman of the Madagali Local Government, became the Adamawa PDP chairman, Saturday afternoon at the close of the PDP State Congress conducted at the Mahmud Ribadu Square in the capital, Yola.
Madagali who was the state organising secretary of the party till the Saturday state congress, climbed unopposed to the seat of state chairman in the course of the election in which he had nobody contending against him.
He and all the other new officers of the party in the state emerged unopposed after a pre-congress arrangement that favoured consensus voting.
In his acceptance speech, Hamza Madagali promised inclusive administration, saying he will run the PDP by giving every member a sense of belonging.
“PDP will remain a true family where everyone will feel important,” he said.
