French defender, Benoit Badiashile, has said that he believes Chelsea would win the FIFA Club World Cup this year.

However, the Frenchman said he does not know whether he would return to the club after the competition.

The Club World Cup will take place between June 14 to July 13.

The French defender has been a regular for the Blues in the UEFA Europa Conference League this season, making 10 appearances in the competition.

Chelsea will play Real Betis in the final of the Conference League on Thursday and the French defender is expected to start the game.

Ahead of the final game, Badiashile the Frenchman has recorded a tackle success rate of 80% and has won 78.6% of the aerial duels so far.

Chelsea are FIFA Club World Cup champions, having won the 2021 edition under former manager, Thomas Tuvhel.

Badiashile told Hayters, “It’s important for the club to win this trophy because I think Chelsea are a big club and we have to win every trophy that we can.”;;
