The shop’s manager stayed in the store, hid behind the till, called the and waited patiently for them to arrive.

“You then started smashing up the shop and damaged parcels awaiting collection from customers.
“You continued to threaten the manager and swiped at him with the knife as he tried to protect the till.
“You came extremely close to making contact with the knife and had you done so, you would have caused serious injury.”
Twice Tequilla tried to get behind the till to break into it, however officers arrived just eight minutes after being called.
But, even after she was arrested, King continued making threats to stab the manager.
In a victim impact statement, a female member of staff said she doesn’t feel safe working there alone anymore and was concerned for the safety of the manager.
Tequilla claimed her attack was a deliberate attempt to get arrested.
That morning she missed an appointment to receive an injection of medication and was unable to contact those dealing with it or a crisis team.
