Tributes are flooding in for a “remarkable” female climber who was reportedly left to freeze to death by her boyfriend on Austria’s tallest peak.

She succumbed to the extreme cold at -20C, just 150ft below the summit.

Her boyfriend, Thomas Plamberger, 39, is now facing charges of negligent homicide after prosecutors allege he abandoned her for six and a half hours in the perilous conditions while he sought help.

Friends and family are now paying tribute to the young climber who met a tragic end while attempting to reach the summit.
