FALLON SHERROCK will not face any reprimand for her playful table gesture during her exit from Ally Pally.
After losing in the first round to Dave Chisnall on Thursday night, the Queen of the Palace approached one of the tables as if she were going to rock it off its foundation.
Fallon Sherrock will not face any reprimand for her table gesture during her exit from Ally Pally.
Sherrock’s ex-boyfriend Cameron Menzies injured his hand after striking the stand three times.
This incident occurred just three days after Cameron Menzies – Sherrock’s former boyfriend – cut his hand after angrily hitting the stand three times following his defeat to Englishman Charlie Manby.
SunSport understands that the PDC, who have extended their support to the emotional Scotsman, will not take any action regarding the playful gesture.
If disciplinary actions are necessary during the tournament, they are referred to the Regulation Authority, the sport’s governing body, but that will not be the case here.
The couple, who began their relationship in 2021, were regarded as the power couple of darts.
The break-up has marked a challenging period for Menzies, 36, who has also been coping with a family tragedy, as he recently attended the funeral of his beloved uncle on Monday.
Since then, the Scot has expressed his struggles.
He mentioned that he has been having a difficult time since his uncle Gary passed away but emphasized that his personal challenges do not justify his actions.
Menzies stated: “First and foremost, I want to apologize for what occurred.
“I regret my reaction. It’s not an excuse, but I have been overwhelmed with many things on my mind lately, and I suppose it all became too much in that moment.
“It has been a tough time for me with the recent passing of my uncle Gary. I saw him just four days before he died, and he gave me a look that conveyed how much he cared for me. He treated me like a son.
“If I had won the match against Charlie, my next game would have taken place on the day of Gary’s funeral, and that has weighed heavily on my mind in recent days.
“Let me reiterate, that’s no justification for my actions on stage. It was inappropriate, and I don’t want it to detract from Charlie’s performance. He played exceptionally well and deserved his victory. This is not how I want people to perceive me.
“Yes, I can become emotional at times, but not to that extent, and that was not right.”
