Another confrontation between factions of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is currently developing, as expelled members prepare to hold an emergency meeting at the party's National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.
DAILY POST recalls that the PDP suspended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, and other members loyal to the former Governor of Rivers State on Saturday.
Their expulsion was announced during the recently concluded National Elective Convention held in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
However, a notice issued on Monday by the factional National Secretary of the party, Samuel Anyanwu, called for an emergency meeting just 48 hours after their expulsion.
The notice, which was reviewed by DAILY POST, urged members of the National Executive Council (NEC) and the Board of Trustees (BoT) to attend the meeting scheduled for Tuesday.
It emphasized that “attendance is crucial as important matters will be discussed and addressed.”
