Former Crystal Palace manager, Alan Pardew, has said Liverpool will stop Arsenal’s quadruple dream this season.
Pardew has insisted Mikel Arteta’s men will not lift the Champions League trophy.
He was reacting to the Gunners’ 4-0 thrashing of Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday.
Noni Madueke, Gabriel Martinelli, a Jack Hunt own goal and Gabriel Jesus finish saw the Gunners progress into the Round of 16.
The result keeps Arsenal in the hunt for not just the FA Cup, but also the Carabao Cup, Premier League and Champions League.
“I’m still going to stand by my backing that Liverpool are going to win the Champions League, which I said on this show a few weeks ago,” Pardew told talkSPORT.
“That’s because, and this is the reason, you have too many winners in that Liverpool dressing room who will focus very much on winning the Champions League.”
