He claimed the championship by finishing just two points ahead of his teammate on the final day.

This achievement makes him the 11th British driver in history to be crowned a world champion.

However, despite this prestigious title, he currently earns significantly less than several of his competitors.

His net worth ranks him in the middle compared to others in the sport.

He became the top driver at Mercedes following the departure of his predecessor at the beginning of the year.

This season, his salary was increased accordingly, with the Brit now reportedly earning £30 million per year.

The 27-year-old finished the season in fourth place in the driver standings, amassing 319 points.

Esteban Ocon – £16.2m

Though his salary is modest compared to some of his F1 peers, Ocon has maximized his nine years on the grid by partnering with brands like Bell & Ross and Microsoft.

He reportedly earns about £5 million annually with Haas.

Norris currently earns £15 million per season at McLaren, but with his new status as world No. 1, a pay raise may be on the horizon.

If any team wishes to attract him away, it will likely involve a significant financial offer.

Pierre Gasly – £25.5m

Gasly signed a contract extension with Alpine this year, which will keep him with the team until the end of 2028.

The team stated: “The deal reaffirms Pierre’s commitment to Alpine and solidifies Alpine’s confidence in Pierre as the driver to lead the team into the new regulatory era in 2026 and beyond, under the guidance of Flavio Briatore and with the full support of the Renault Group led by the new CEO Francois Provost.”

He reportedly earns £8 million annually and finished 18th in the 2025 standings.

The Frenchman also has brand partnerships with companies like Givenchy and SonicLabs.

Carlos Sainz – £38.7m

Sainz left to make room for Hamilton earlier this year and now races for Williams.

He is believed to be contracted with the team until the end of the next season.

The Spaniard finished the 2025 season in ninth place with a total of 64 points.

Lance Stroll – £38.7m

Stroll is the son of billionaire businessman and
