Before rushing to the stores and spending money on trending baubles, cushions, candles, and more, I reached out to some of the experts to gather their thoughts on the trends that are receiving their endorsement this year.

Not only did I receive a positive nod for bows and all things burgundy, but interior designers are also giving a thumbs up to vintage decorations.

So, if you want your home to look stunning this Christmas, it’s time to take notes and say goodbye to an all-white tree.

THE NEW RED

According to Katie Malik , an award-winning interior designer, white is out and burgundy is the color of the season.

Katie remarked: “I will be steering clear of all white – I did all white for a few years and I’m over it.”

“Burgundy is a very striking color; it is the new red.”

Chloe Barrow, an interior expert at Laura James , concurred: “Burgundy and soft pink themes are really gaining popularity this year.”

While I’m not particularly fond of pink, burgundy is definitely one of my favorite colors and is trending this year, so hearing this expert advice was music to my ears.
