Former France international, Patrice Evra, has reacted to Manchester United’s Europa League play-off draw against Barcelona.
Earlier this week, Manchester United were drawn to face the Catalan giants in the Europa League knockout play-offs.
Evra said that he loves and respects Barcelona so much as a football club, but recalled how the La Liga giant denied him three Champions League trophies.
“I love them, even when they beat us I had so much respect for that club,” he said on Betfair.
He described the game between the two European giants as the biggest tie, adding that fans will see the game as Champions League final.
“Playing against Barcelona is tough and without them, I would have three more Champions League winners medals,” he added.
“It’s the kind of game that makes me wish I was still playing. I wished I was still playing.”
