Leon Balogun has expressed disappointment with Rangers' exit from the UEFA Europa League.

Barry Ferguson's side were eliminated from the competition by Spanish club, Athletic Bilbao on Thursday.

The Light Blues held Ernesto Valverde's men to a 0-0 draw in the first leg of the quarter-final tie.

The Scottish Premiership club, however, lost the reverse fixture 3-0.

“I think you have to be honest and I don't think we showed enough quality today in order to severely threaten them,” the 27-year-old told BBC.
“We all came here with a lot more expectations probably to ourselves and we did not really live up to it.”
