IF you’re hoping to win big tonight in the Euromillions, there’s four words you need to look out for.
Tonight’s Euromillions jackpot stands at £74 million, meaning that if someone has the winning numbers, they could end up being richer than .
If you play the play the lottery online and win a prize, you will receive an email stating that you have won.
But how do you know if your prize is £5 or £5 million?
Five word clue
Once you’ve received the email stating that you’ve won a prize, you will be directed to log in to your account, on the app or website.
If your prize is less than £50,000 it will immediately be deposited in to your account.
However, if you have won a prize larger than £50,000, you will be directed to ‘Please call this phone number’.
This five word phrase is the clue that you have won big.
Simon Horne, from the National Lottery operator Allwyn said: “Anyone who buys a ticket online or via the app for a National Lottery draw will have an online account.
“As part of this, we have contact details for the winner.
“When any prize is won online and app players receive an email saying they have won a prize and asking them to log into their account to see details.
“This happens for any prize of any size.
“Smaller prizes are paid directly into online players’ accounts, larger prizes (£50k plus) for both retail and online players go through our Winner Services team.”;
You must call the number within 180 days of winning the prize.
Once you’ve called the number, a member of the Customer Care Team will validate your claim and arrange to process it with you in person.
If you have purchased a winning ticket in store, instead of online, you can claim small prizes (up to £500) in the store where you bought your ticket.
Larger prizes (up to £50,000) can be claimed at dedicated Post Offices that handle National Lottery payouts.
For anything over £50,000, you will need to call the National Lottery line on 0333 234 50 50.
Tips for winning big
Simon has shared with The Sun for winning big.
He revealed that instead of picking the numbers that come up the most often, you should just pick your lucky numbers.
“We all have lucky numbers – I know plenty of players who lean on lucky numbers, which could be phone numbers or numbers passed down from family members,”; said Simon.
“Every set of numbers has the same chance of coming out.
“The best strategy to play is the one that you think will bring you luck.”;
He added that you should make sure to buy your ticket in plenty of time and keep a beady eye on your numbers.
