Ms Phillips said exposing the full scale of Epstein’s abuse matters “for the protection of future generations”.

She recalled meeting Epstein in 2000 while working as a fashion model in the Caribbean.

She said she was based on an island near Saint Thomas and went over to Epstein’s private island for a day, meeting him at dinner that evening.

Ms Phillips told Sky News: “It took a few hours of him speaking to me one-on-one at the table, basically asking me a lot of questions about my life and my relationship with my family and my ambitions.”

She added Epstein was “very big” on her goals and became excited when he learned she had lived in Oxford, England, as a child.

“He asked me if I wanted to meet a prince, and I said yes.”

She said a man then approached, was introduced to her, spoke briefly to others and left.

“It was very brief,” she explained, adding that only years later did she realise the man was Andrew.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has repeatedly denied any allegations against him.

Ms Phillips was also asked about an email in the newly released files that appears to show Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor asking Ghislaine Maxwell about “inappropriate friends”.

“That is a very revealing email, isn’t it?” she said.

“It’s very creepy, disturbing, and I mean, that’s why she’s in jail, right?”

The context of the email is unclear and there is no suggestion of wrongdoing.

Asked about the long-term impact of being in Epstein’s orbit, Ms Phillips said: “It hasn’t felt good to know that so much of my past that I worked hard for was really just smoke and mirrors and part of a bigger web.”

She also claimed delays in releasing Epstein material meant key evidence was still missing, saying “the really important stuff wasn’t released”.

“We’re still doing our research, and we will still be bringing whatever we find to the proper authorities. And we’re not going to give up.”

Earlier claims

Ms Phillips has previously spoken publicly about Epstein and Andrew.

In 2020, she told The Sun she had confronted Epstein after a friend allegedly slept with the then-Prince Andrew at

She claimed Epstein responded chillingly: “It’s nice to have things on people.”

Ms Phillips said at the time: “My friend was very upset. She was crying.”

There is no suggestion Andrew knew of any alleged instruction by Epstein or was involved in non-consensual sex. Sources close to him previously branded the allegation “baseless”.

Ms Phillips told The Sun she first met Epstein after a Caribbean photoshoot in 2000 and was invited to his island, Little St James.

“I found Jeffrey very charming and he seemed really nice. I had mentioned I had lived in England and he said, ‘Oh, would you like to meet a prince?’.

“This man walked up and I recognised him as Prince Andrew. He was very nice. It was very brief.”

She said she saw nothing untoward on the island and continued to encounter Epstein at events over the following years.

“He always wanted to meet friends of mine. He loved young women but none of us suspected he liked underage girls.”

‘Invisible Man’ emails

Ms Phillips’ comments come as renewed scrutiny surrounds a in the latest Epstein document release.

Emails dated between 2001 and 2002 show a man signing off messages to Maxwell with the initial “A”, discussing “two-legged sight seeing” and asking about “inappropriate friends”.

The sender used the email address “ abx17@dial.pipex.com ” – an address listed for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in Epstein’s contacts book.

The anonymous writer also referenced leaving the Royal Navy, losing a “valet”, and staying at “Balmoral Summer Camp for the Royal Family”.

Andrew served in the Royal Navy from 1979 to 2001, leaving service weeks before one of the emails was sent. His longtime valet Michael Perry died in 2001.

In further emails, Maxwell attempted to arrange a 2002 Peru trip for her unnamed friend, asking for “intelligent, pretty and fun” girls “from good families” and referring to him as “Andrew” and “an English gent”.

The individual known as “The Invisible Man” has not been formally identified and there is no implication that any illegal activity took place.

Ongoing investigations

The newly released files also show US prosecutors considered Andrew a “subject” in criminal investigations as far back as 2020.

Documents state officials believed there was “documentary evidence” and other men, and that he engaged in sexual conduct with one of Epstein’s victims – allegations he has always denied.

Andrew settled a civil case with Virginia Giuffre for a reported £12 million while maintaining his innocence. Giuffre died by suicide in April aged 41.

The files also reveal his lawyers sought immunity from prosecution if he agreed to cooperate with US authorities, later offering only a written statement.

On Tuesday night it emerged the Metropolitan Police contacted the FBI last month to ask whether any investigations relating to Andrew and Epstein were ongoing.

The force later said it would not launch a criminal probe.

Andrew has been approached for comment and Buckingham Palace declined to comment.
