The Jigawa State Government has declared that the tenure of 27 appointed Education Secretaries will undergo a one-year performance evaluation, with those underperforming to be replaced.
The Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Prof. Haruna Musa, made this announcement on Wednesday while informing journalists about the results of the final selection process.
He elaborated that the appointments were made following a thorough, multi-stage procedure designed to ensure both competence and professionalism.
According to him, approximately 1,156 candidates applied for the positions, leading to the shortlisting of 274 candidates. Out of these, 159 passed a computer-based examination, 88 were invited for the final interview, and 27 were ultimately chosen.
