JEFFREY Epstein wanted to buy a five-star hotel near Buckingham Palace to build a sex lair – allegedly encouraged by a business partner of the former Prince Andrew.
The sex-obsessed paedophile trafficker appeared to like a plan to turn the top floor of the swanky Dukes Hotel – a scenic 10-minute walk from the palace – into a “playroom”.

And the Epstein files show he had aides investigate the purchase after one emailed him promising it would be a place where he could have “lots of P”.
It comes as…
- Files reveal that expose his Newsnight lies
- Epstein had ‘ including baby with teen girl’
- Andrew had with young Russian model
- Epstein claimed in bombshell email
- emerges
Previous references to “P” in the files relate to the crude term “p***y.”
An associate, whose name was redacted by US authorities, proposed that Epstein should “make the top your london residence, have room for lots of P, and have full hotel services”.
Epstein began investigating the purchase in April, 2010 – the year after he was freed from jail for soliciting prostitution – at a time when he was still in touch with Andrew.
Andrew admitted in his car crash 2019 Newsnight interview that he was in contact with Epstein till December 2010 – though emails show they were in touch up till March 2011.
The latest email tranche shows he asked financial advisers to work out the real value of Dukes and how much it would cost to refurbish.
Papers show Epstein enlisted the help of businessman David Stern, who later became a director of Prince Andrew’s Pitch@Palace entrepreneur scheme.
Stern, who was becoming close to the then prince thanks to Epstein, seemed keen on the idea of buying the hotel in order to install a “playroom” for the vile pervert.
New emails show him writing to the convicted sex offender, saying: “I was thinking of looking at actual rooms at the Duke tomorrow before I fly, to check how small they are.
“Your London playroom on top floor – after some renovation – is still something I like.
“Should I look at it: yes or waste of time?”
Epstein told him to continue, saying: “Look.”
Swish Dukes is one of London’s most discreet upper-crust haunts and sits in an alley in London’s exclusive St James’s, a 10-minute walk through Green Park to the palace.
Epstein papers reveal that In 2010 he was on an email chain involving Dubai-based businessman Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, who owned the hotel.

The hotel’s parent company was, at the time, struggling due to the terms of the loan used to complete the purchase of the hotel.
Mr bin Sulayem emailed Epstein asking for advice as he looked to find a bank that would refinance loans at a lower interest rate.
Epstein then took an interest in the hotel as a possible buyer, emails show.
The hotel’s owners shared confidential internal financial projections with the convicted child sex trafficker, London Centric reported.
On the same day Epstein emailed hotel magnate Giuseppe Cipriani to ask whether he wanted to be involved in buying Dukes, asking “any interest in doing this with me”.
There was no interest from Cipriani but Epstein appeared to maintain his interest in the property’s fortunes in the following months and was kept informed of its financial situation.
In a later email to Epstein, Mr bin Sulayem suggested: “Please stop by the hotel when you are in London next.”
Eventually the hotel’s performance improved and no deal took place.
Meanwhile, Andrew continues to find himself in hot water as more emails and pictures emerge showing the extent of his relationship to the notorious paedophile.

Andrew claimed in his now-infamous Newsnight interview that he cut off all contact with Epstein but he .
He visited in 2010, enjoying four days at Epstein’s mansion before claiming to sever all ties.
Epstein had, the year before, been released after serving a lenient 13-month sentence for procuring a child for prostitution.
Fast-forward to 2019, and Andrew wore a straight face as he insisted to Emily Maitlis: “I ceased contact with him in 2006 and I wasn’t in touch with him again until 2010.”
But newly-released emails show that Andrew wished his pervert pal a Happy New Year just 28 days after he was photographed with Epstein in Central Park during their break-up vacation.
show the former prince staring at the camera as looms over an unknown female while she lies on the floor with her arms apart.
Two other snaps show the barefoot ex-Duke of York wearing a white polo and jeans, touching the unknown woman’s stomach.
The female appears to be awake in both photos, with her arm seen raised in one of the disturbing images.
The former prince has always vigorously denied any wrongdoing relating to his relationship with Epstein, who killed himself in jail in 2019.
