Former Manchester City player, Micah Richards, has revised his previous Premier League title prediction and now believes that the “well-oiled machine” Arsenal are capable of securing the championship.

Richards asserts that Mikel Arteta’s Gunners present a “strong case” to win the title this season.

Arsenal's 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday positioned the Gunners four points ahead of second-placed Bournemouth in the EPL standings, while other contenders, including Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea, faced defeats over the weekend.

Richards mentioned that he is starting to believe that Mikel Arteta’s team is destined to clinch the Premier League title, a shift from his earlier stance, which favored Liverpool for the title.

He remarked that the Gunners have been impressive this season and are “finding ways to win matches.”

During an episode of The Rest is Football podcast, Richards stated: “Arsenal just stifle them [Crystal Palace] and know how to manage a game. They are exceptional at it.

“Arsenal are discovering ways to secure victories, which is why they have a strong case for winning the Premier League.

“I wasn’t entirely convinced by Liverpool’s squad and their transfer window, but now when you observe Arsenal, they don’t give teams chances; they simply don’t. They resemble a well-oiled machine.”
