Former Arsenal player Patrick Vieira has assessed the club's prospects of winning the Premier League this season.

The Gunners have emerged as one of the top contenders for the Premier League title this year.

Under Mikel Arteta's management, they have finished as runners-up in the last three seasons.

Last season, Liverpool secured the title after Manchester City won it in consecutive years.

Currently, Arsenal is leading the chase with a narrow one-point advantage over Liverpool.

Following the international break, Arsenal will take on Fulham away and aim to secure all three points.

“I can’t say if it’s a favorable year or not because the Premier League is extremely competitive,” Vieira, who is now managing the Italian club Genoa, shared with Sky Sports.

“I believe Arteta made a strong statement by signing those players during the summer. So far, they have been delivering impressive performances on the pitch.

“I am confident that Arsenal is among the few teams capable of winning the Premier League.

“You can expect Arsenal to be competitive and to fight until the very end, as the players they have brought in elevate the quality of the team significantly.”

Thierry Henry has also voiced similar optimism regarding Arsenal's chances of securing major silverware this season.
