Nottingham Forest striker, Taiwo Awoniyi says scoring against his former club, Liverpool will remain evergreen in his heart.
Awoniyi was in the books of Liverpool for seven years but failed to make an official appearance for the Reds because of work permit issue.
The 25-year-old.came back to haunt his former club by netting the only goal in the 1-0 win at the City Ground on Saturday afternoon.
The forward made history as the first Nottingham Forest player to score in each of his first three Premier League starts at the City Ground.
The Nigerian has now scored three goals in nine league appearances for Forest this season.
“I am happy but the most important thing is three points. To score against Liverpool, I will never forget, “Awoniyi said after the game.
“I will always be grateful to them for scouting me from Nigeria. It was amazing to score against them.’
