Former Arsenal star, Paul Merson has suggested that Eberechi Eze is the ‘X-factor’ that can help the Gunners win the Premier League title this season.
Arsenal are two points ahead of Manchester City on the Premier League table ahead of their clash with Chelsea on Sunday evening.
Mikel Arteta’s side will have the chance to restore their five-point lead if they defeat Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.
“These two [Eze and Viktor Gyokeres] hit fire until the end of the season, Arsenal win the league if they can go and be 8 out of 10 every week,” Merson told Sky Sports.
“We said at the start of the season, when Eze got bought, he was the X Factor. He was the one who was going to get them over the line, and I still think that could be the case, as long as he plays and Arteta trusts him.”
Eze joined Arsenal from Crystal Palace last year, and the England international has been impressive for the Premier League North London club.
