Manchester United legend, Peter Schmeichel has identified defender Harry Maguire as an undroppable player in Erik ten Hag’s squad.
Schmeichel believes Maguire is an example to all Man United players, adding that the England international was the ‘Man of the Match’ against Fulham.
He spoke after Maguire helped Man United in their Premier League 1-0 win over Fulham on Saturday, thanks to Bruno Fernandes’ late goal.
The former Leicester City man scored the winner against FC Copenhagen to give them their victory. He has gone from villain to hero in weeks at the club thanks to his recent performances.
“For me, the Man of the Match was Harry Maguire. Without him I don’t see Manchester United win this game,” Schmeichel said via Centre Devils.
“He’s become an example to all the players, rising up from adversity – he is undroppable for any manager now.”
