EPL: Ex-Chelsea star, Marcel Desailly names manager to replace Amorim at Man United

Former France international, Marcel Desailly, has told Manchester United to sack Ruben Amorim and replace the Portuguese with Luis Enrique.

Desailly, a former Chelsea and AC Milan star, is of the opinion that Enrique should be perfect to handle things at Old Trafford, urging the Red Devils to pursue the ex-Barcelona manager.

Enrique guided PSG to win the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League, Ligue 1 and Coupe de France.

Desailly said that Manchester United should have their eyes on the Spaniard.

According to the Frenchman, Enrique is what Manchester United need.

Speaking on Oddspedia, as quoted by Metro, Enrique said, “Anything can happen, he might end up in the Premier League.

“Luis Enrique would bring a new dynamic and if I was at Manchester United, I’d be asking Luis Enrique to come to my club...Manchester United need Luis Enrique.”;

Enrique previously won the treble with Barcelona as well and now has seven trophies in his basket in two seasons with Paris Saint-Germain.

Manchester United might just be needing a new manager sometimes next season if Amorim continues his poor run with the Old Trafford outfit.

He led the club to finish slightly above the relegation zone last season, ending in 15th position and losing the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur.
