The club is currently two places and four points above the relegation zone.

Redmond was a free agent after leaving Sheffield Wednesday in January, having played just 132 minutes across seven games for the relegation-doomed Owls.

He headed to Turkey in the 2022-23 season to play for Besiktas, but he only spent one season there.

The winger helped Burnley back to the Premier League last season, but his contract was not renewed when they entered the top flight.

Back inn 2017, Redmond would win his one and only England cap.

He was called up to the England squad that was to play a friendly against Germany and a World Cup qualifying match against Lithuania after showing fine form at Southampton.

He went on to make his full England debut in the Germany match, coming on as a 66th-minute substitute for Adam Lallana.

His next call-up would come two years later, but he never graced the pitch for the Three Lions again.

He actually made 38 appearances for the Under-21s, the third most appearances at that level ever behind James Milner and Nathaniel Chalobah.

Redmond has 58 goals and 65 assists in 491 games across his career but having only just turned 32, he will feel he has plenty more to give yet.
