JOFRA ARCHER has been ruled out of the last two Ashes Tests due to injury.

In another setback for the beleaguered tourists, their only consistently threatening bowler will now have to watch from the sidelines.

Archer, 30, has consistently exceeded the 90mph mark, taking nine wickets at an average of 27.11 runs each, making him England’s most economical bowler.

Additionally, he has contributed valuable runs, including a half-century on his Test debut in the Third Test, averaging 25.50 runs per innings.

However, the team will now have to continue without him—and fellow fast bowler Mark Wood—following Wood's injury earlier in the series.

A brief statement announced: “Jofra Archer will miss the remainder of the series due to a left side strain.

“Wishing you a speedy recovery, Jof!”

The tour continues to worsen for England, who had arrived in Australia with high hopes that their Bazball strategy could finally help them reclaim the urn on foreign soil.

However, a concerning lack of form and awareness among the batters, erratic performances from the bowlers, poor fielding, and confusion over the optimal team lineup have led to their aspirations fading away.

England received criticism for their inadequate preparations before the tour, and the situation worsened after accusations of the team attending a “stag do” in the popular tourist destination of Noosa.

This trip to the coastal town followed closely after Brendon McCullum’s side faced criticism for their performance.
